Saturday Showcase | Monster Cards & Treats

By | General, Saturday Showcase | No Comments

Today, we are getting into the Halloween spirit! Let’s take a closer look at the Monster dies.

Halloween will be so much fun this year, thanks to the Monster dies!  My kids and I created some super-silly tags for candy bars with the Monster and Tagged & Labeled dies.  It was a great family project and the sillier the faces got, the more the kids enjoyed making them!  Just grab the dies, your favorite Halloween cardstock colors, and some glue, then let the antics begin.

“Nothing is quite as spooky as a monster lurking in a haunted forest! I’ve created some fun Halloween treat holders using the Monster Dies paired with the Peaceful Forest stamp set, which doesn’t look so peaceful today! Ha ha! I love being able to get more mileage from my supplies, like I’ve shown today!”

“The Monster Dies from Ink to Paper are so much fun to create with.  Consider using the dies with felt or patterned paper to create character and interest.  Mix and match the dies using them in unsuspecting and unique ways, allowing each monster to have its own personality.”

Melissa’s Transformation Tuesday | Blessed Card

By | General, Transformation Tuesday | 3 Comments

“I transformed my original Christmas card into an Autumn card using the same basic sketch, but swapping out sunflower dies from the Simply Sweet:  Blessed die collection for the poinsettia dies found in the Tag Creations:  Modern Gift die collection.  These are so simple to use and don’t even require a stamp set.  I die cut my sunflowers from watercolor cardstock and sponged on color in varying shades of yellow.  After spritzing them with water and allowing them to dry, I layered them together, placed them on my card, and added a few embellishments.  I’m excited to try this with other floral sets from Ink to Paper.”

Saturday Showcase | It’s a Sign: Love & Kindness

By | General, Saturday Showcase | No Comments

Let’s take a closer look at It’s a Sign: Love & Kindness.

“When it comes to love and kindness I always think of bright and cheerful colors. Pop on over to my blog to see how I created this rainbow colored card by mixing strips of colorful cardstock and the sentiment and images from It’s A Sign: Love & Kindness!”

“What I love most about the It’s a Sign:  Love & Kindness stamp set is that it can be paired with other sets so easily.  I’ve used the flower dies in this set with trim to create soft, delicate flowers that compliment the beautiful sentiment perfectly.”

When I was creating with Season of Joy for the September release, I remember thinking that the wreath in that set would be pretty for other seasons, too.  Being that fall is only a couple of days away, I decided to test out the theory with some autumn colors, creating several wreaths to use as a backdrop for the beautiful sentiment from It’s a Sign: Love & Kindness.  Turns out, it really does make a wonderful fall decoration, and with the message of appreciation nicely framed against a colorful bed of leaves, this simply made card is ready for giving.”

“I’ve been dying to try using the cute frame from It’s a Sign: Beautiful paired with the Love and Kindness sentiment and today was my chance! I love how easy it is to create cute miniature signs to accent my cards and projects! “

“I’m loving the chalkboard-look in Soft Stone…… allowing the pretty blooms from It’s a Sign: Love and Kindness to pop against the muted background and layered Bitty Big patterned papers.”

Melissa’s Tips | Using Extra Pieces

By | Design Team Tips, General | No Comments

Join Melissa Bickford today as she shares creative ways to use all of those extra pieces.

“If you’re anything like me, you end up having a lot of leftovers when creating. I hate to waste anything and most of the time I end up creating cards using a variety of the images that are leftover. Today, I’m sharing a card with a mix of leftovers I had from the recent Ink to Paper release. This is just an example of how you don’t have to use one stamp set all by itself, but can mix images from a few different sets and end up with a beautiful result!” \

Welcome to our third day of introductions for the September 2019 Release! Today’s new stamps and dies in this month’s collections will get you in the Holiday mood. So, let’s get going to and preview the new must-have stamps and dies.

“I instantly thought of festive holiday tags when I saw the Holly Jolly Holiday stamp set.  It’s a great, bubbly font with fun sentiments, and while it will work just fine with a traditional palette, I wanted to create some gift wrap that reminded me of the joy of being a kid on Christmas morning. Pink and turquoise mixed with red and green give the tags a cheerful appearance, while the sweet holly leaf and berry accents are perfectly sized to add a colorful finishing touch to each tag!”

“It’s hard not to be happy when you see Holly Jolly Holiday!  It’s like hearing your favorite Christmas song or watching a feel-good holiday movie–it just puts you in a great mood.  I wanted to create something that conveyed that, so I stamped a background panel of Pure Poppy ‘Merry & Bright’ sentiments, and then stamped each individual letter with colorful solid alpha stamps.  I chose bright and happy colors, added a cute tree die cut, and ended up with a card that will hopefully make my recipient do a little happy dance!”
