Join Rebecca Luminarias today as she shares ways to create shaped tags from Geometrix dies.

“I’m always looking for new and different ways to create tags and if a shape die has a good amount of blank space within it, I won’t hesitate to make a tag out of it, even if that’s not its intended use!  The Geometrix dies are perfect examples of this; they have generous space, great lines and curves, and work with every stamp set Ink to Paper offers.  Join me for today’s Design Team Tips and I’ll show you how to take these fundamental shape dies off of the card and get them package-ready.”

“Try stamping outside the lines the next time you pull out your stamp sets.  This is a fun way of using your favorite sets in a creative way and the results are playful and whimsical.  I’ve used the banner images from the Garden Party stamp set and added the detailed, colored images in a variety of colors, stamping them outside the lines and allowing them to overlap.  I love the results!  Use you favorite floral sets in the very same way and enjoy the process.”

Melissa’s Tips | Layering

Join Melissa Phillips today as she shares easy ways to create beautiful layers.

“I love creating depth with lots of layering.  My cards today show one way that I achieve this look and it’s easy!  Notice that in the upper left and lower right corners of my focal point/sentiment, I’ve stamped on the die cut where my sentiment is stamped but also layered stamps and die cuts behind these corners.  This look kind of reminds me of arranging flowers with large and small flowers and fillers placed in just the right spot so that they compliment each other and also so each addition can be seen.  I’ve used felt die cuts as well to bring in texture which also creates depth and dimension.”

Join Michelle Leone today as she shares how sewing on paper can add dimension to your cards.

“I love the interest, texture and dimension that sewing adds to paper crafts…… and have been awed by many of the projects created by Paige Taylor Evans and Jennifer McGuire, both of whom have inspired today’s card.
I’ve stamped the sentiment and solid flowers/leaves prior to piercing around each image and then backstitched in coordinating threads. This CAS card is finished off with a bit of dimension (fun foam or dimensional tape) and layered in shades of Hibiscus Burst and Soft Stone.”

“I love white card bases, but sometimes I feel like they need just a little bit of jazzing up. Today, I did just that by creating a background using the flower dies from It’s A Sign: Beautiful. That floral base adds just that extra little something to make an already beautiful card even more spectacular!”

“Floral stamp sets are my favorite.  Not only are they beautiful and suitable for many different occasions, but also because there are so many fun and creative ways to use them.  I created a delicate border using flowers and leaves from the You Are My Happy stamp set, stamping images around my focal point to tie in with the colors used and softly highlight the centerpiece of my card.”
