Hello, Everyone! Welcome to Melissa’s Fab Friday Feature

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

“We are living in a historic time, with monumental changes happening daily that are impacting our daily lives and routines.  I find myself wishing for “normal” to return.  One very comforting part of my life that has taken on more meaning is that of creating.  I love the peace and happiness that comes over me as I create.  My desire to reach out and connect with others using my creativity has grown and sharing a special card letting them know they’re not forgotten and that they’re on my mind, brings me a sense of connection…I hope it does for you as well.”

STEP 1: Stamp the brick background stamp on white cardstock using watermark ink.  Using a heat tool, emboss powder to set.  Use Lemon Tart and Sweet Blush ink to create a soft, emboss resist background.

STEP 2: Spritz background with water to create a soft, watercolor feel.

STEP 3: Stamp with step 2 of the Rustic Brick background stamp using Classic Kraft ink.  Die cut using Nesting Basics:  Pierced Rectangles die.

STEP 4: Create card base from Sweet Blush cardstock and adhere patterned paper to card front..

STEP 5: Adhere brick background rectangle to card front.  Wrap baker’s twine around card and tie on the left.

STEP 6: Die cut oval from white cardstock and stamp wreath from A Mother’s Love stamp set using Classic Kraft ink.  Begin stamping flowers around wreath using flowers from Blossoming Branches stamp set.

STEP 7: Stamp sentiment from Essential Sentiments to center of wreath using Pale Peony ink.  Stamp second sentiment below the first using Olive Twist ink and the Frame It Out:  Wishes stamp set.

Step 8:  Finish building wreath by adhering die cut and stamped florals.  Adhere to card front and embellish with enamel dots or sequins.

Melissa, your card is stunning! I just love all the layers and texture you have added, and the colours you pick go so well together. I also love all these challenges that PTI is putting together during this time. I am extra busy due to COVID-19 but I am hope I can play along with at least one of them.
