Saturday Showcase | Beachy Keen

Today, we are going to the beach! Let’s take a closer look at Beachy Keen. Get ready to take a trip to the beach with Beachy Keen.

“With summer in full swing, Beachy Keen is the perfect set for creating all of your summery, beach themed projects. I chose a tropical color scheme for my card, but you could easily change up the colors to something more peaceful and calming, like the ocean.”

“I’m one of those people that loves to “celebrate the season”, no matter which one it happens to be! For me, that celebration includes handmade cards and gifts to give to family and friends! Beachy Keen is the perfect summer set just bursting with possibilities!”

“Beachy Keen inspires me so much!  I love thinking about all of the soft pastels I’ve seen in the air and sky while visiting the beach and re-creating them using this dreamy stamp set.”

Melissa’s Tips | Layering

By | Design Team Tips, General | 4 Comments

Join Melissa Phillips today as she shares easy ways to create beautiful layers.

“I love creating depth with lots of layering.  My cards today show one way that I achieve this look and it’s easy!  Notice that in the upper left and lower right corners of my focal point/sentiment, I’ve stamped on the die cut where my sentiment is stamped but also layered stamps and die cuts behind these corners.  This look kind of reminds me of arranging flowers with large and small flowers and fillers placed in just the right spot so that they compliment each other and also so each addition can be seen.  I’ve used felt die cuts as well to bring in texture which also creates depth and dimension.”

Kelly’s Transformation Tuesday | Make A Wish Card

By | General, Transformation Tuesday | No Comments

“I always love the Transformation Tuesday post because it gives me a chance to revisit a past project; in this case my card from the latest release using Dandelion Wishes. While I liked my card “okay”, I found it very hard to photograph and it felt washed out. I also used a heavy hand with the Nuvo drops, which were super fun to add, but in the end I felt I’d gone overboard. Head to my blog to find out how I made the two NEW designs!”
