“The delicate leaves in Frame It Out:  Wishes just call to me.  I love their versatility, whether I feel like coloring them in, stamping a background or frame, or clipping them apart to create dimension.  This set is enchanting and so inspiring.”

“As much as I adore the lovely leaves included in the Frame It Out: Wishes set, it’s the large sentiments that make this such a unique set!  The options of either stamping, die cutting the detail sentiment, or adding a larger shadow behind it make this a year round staple!”

“The Frame It Out: Wishes stamp set has such fun and unique sentiments that I couldn’t just stop with one card! I used a bright and fresh color combo to create some summery cards that are sure to lift anyone’s spirits!”

Michelle’s Tips | Sewing on Paper

By | Design Team Tips, General | 2 Comments

Join Michelle Leone today as she shares how sewing on paper can add dimension to your cards.

“I love the interest, texture and dimension that sewing adds to paper crafts…… and have been awed by many of the projects created by Paige Taylor Evans and Jennifer McGuire, both of whom have inspired today’s card.
I’ve stamped the sentiment and solid flowers/leaves prior to piercing around each image and then backstitched in coordinating threads. This CAS card is finished off with a bit of dimension (fun foam or dimensional tape) and layered in shades of Hibiscus Burst and Soft Stone.”

Melissa’s Transformation Tuesday | Hello Card

By | General, Transformation Tuesday | 8 Comments

“I really like the basic sketch to my first card and knew that at some point I’d like to recreate another card using the same design. Today’s Transformation Tuesday was the perfect opportunity. I used the lovely Framing Florals stamp set in place of the beautiful Many Anemones used on the first card.  I tipped the frame from the Framing Florals set on its side to mimic the design on the first card and loved how it turned out. I always find that when I’m stuck in a creative rut, that turning to older cards for inspiration really does give me a jumpstart.”

Saturday Showcase | Simply Sweet: Thanks

By | General, Saturday Showcase | 3 Comments

Today, it’s all about thank you cards! Let’s take a closer look at Simply Sweet: Thanks stamp set. Thank you cards are such a popular type of card to create and the Simply Sweet: Thanks stamp set will make your next thank you card simply adorable!

“From simple to more elaborate, there are endless ways to create with the Simply Sweet: THANKS set. For today, I created a crisp, clean rainbow colored wreath by mixing the floral images included in this set with the leaves from It’s A Sign: Beautiful. Stop by my blog for all of the details on my colorful card of appreciation!”

“I love the fun wreath in the Simply Sweet:  Thanks stamp set and find it so inspiring.  All it takes to jumpstart your creativity with this set is to look for different wreath ideas on Pinterest and then pull our your stamps to create your own delightful paper version!”

“Thank You cards are my favorite kind of cards to create, and having a set that is filled with sentiments of gratitude is my kind of set!  The sweet flowers and sentiments combined are guaranteed to make any recipient smile!”

I don’t think there’s such a thing as too many thank you cards. There are so many reasons to be thankful and with Simply Sweet: Thanks, making those cards is a treat! When someone does something kind for me, it’s such a warm, pleasant feeling. I hoped to invoke that same emotion with my card, featuring happy colors like yellow, pink, and orange, along with those sweet, pretty flowers from the stamp set.

“Unexpected expressions of thanks can really make someone’s day! Today I’ve used the Simply Sweet: Thanks stamp set paired with the new It’s a Sign: Beautiful stamp set to create some sewn pockets to say thanks AND hold a sweet treat! Head to my blog to find out how I created these!”

Melissa’s Tips | White Card Bases

By | Design Team Tips, General | No Comments

Join Melissa Bickford today as she shares how to create jazzed up white card bases.

“I love white card bases, but sometimes I feel like they need just a little bit of jazzing up. Today, I did just that by creating a background using the flower dies from It’s A Sign: Beautiful. That floral base adds just that extra little something to make an already beautiful card even more spectacular!”
